The eye flow on the double page spread starts from the right to the left, and back to the right. The eye flow is like this because as people are reading a magazine, while flicking through the pages their eye would attract them to the right hand side first and then they would focus on the left. In this case, people would see the picture then move onto the title, then the text and back to the picture. The article title is taking up most of the space in the left side of the double page spread, and is very bold. The title explains the large a4 sized image of Christina Millian and The Dream having a “love thing”. This is so that readers wouldn’t get bored if there was alot of body text, and also because most readers would be interested in pictures rather than text. There is generally white space around the body text. The pull quote is placed at the body text so that it stands out before readers read the rest to interest them even more.
The double page spread focuses on The Dream and Christina Milian. Both of these artists are R&B singers which shows that the target audience represented are of those who are into this genre of music. Also, seeing as Christina is represented in a sort-of "sexy" pose, there may be young teenagers who are attracted to her in which they may just want to find out more about her relationship with The Dream, or just flick through to see the pictures.
The colours on the page are orange, black, and white. Usually on each page in the magazine there are three main colours and two of them stay constant; black and white, and the third colour changes at each different article. This shows that the magazine is creating a consistant house style throughout it. The black text on the white background makes it stand out very well, and as there is a different colour for each page, this is very eye-catching.
I believe that there is not an opened balance of body text and images as the main image itself takes up one whole a4 side, and the article title takes up most of the other half aswell. This is quite good as it's very eye-catching because the title is bold which allows readers to quickly understand what the page is saying, rather than having to read a lot of text. This represents the style of the magazine being quite laid back as the readers would not want to read chunks of paragraphs, but be able to see images aswell especially when flicking through.
